Fall Colors on the June Lake Loop

The fall colors in the June Lake area were amazing this past weekend! Wind had stripped much of the leaves from the Aspens, however there were still some spectacular colors to be seen around June Lake, and Silver Lake in particular. There were a few hardy photographers out braving the winds in the early morning and late afternoon. We managed some wonderful images of which we'll have some up here pretty soon.

A storm was brewing as we left on Saturday afternoon, and a light dusting of snow was covering the tops of the mountains. Dust storms were in effect all the way down the 395 till we were off the desert plateau. I was so happy not to be driving an SUV, or a RV through that!
